Direct Care Staff Requirements
At least 18 years old
High School Diploma or GED
Driver’s License
Social Security Card
Current Auto Insurance
Personal reliable vehicle for transporting clients
Driver’s Abstract with no more than 5 points on driving record.
State approved background checks.
Responsibilities Include:
Providing direct care and support to individuals with developmental disabilities.
Focus on independence, choice, and community integration.
Supervise, teach, and assist individuals following the goals and services goals set up in their ISP which could include teaching, assistance and completion of household cleaning, meal preparation, laundry, personal care, and communication.
Transportation to appointments, shopping, recreation
Attending monthly mandatory meetings at administrative office.
Completing all daily documentation and mileage logs submitting to supervisors at monthly mandatory trainings), time sheets (turned in no later than noon on Sundays), UI /MUI reports (submitted no later than 9am the following morning)..
Medication administration
Staying current with Driver’s Abstract, CPR and First Aid, Background checks, driver’s license, auto insurance, etc.
Must reveal, upon interview, any physical or mental conditions that may affect your position, such as restrictions on bending, stooping, reaching, pulling, lifting, stair climbing, etc.
